Raymond R. Coletta

Bio:
Professor Coletta served two tours in the Peace Corps, training teachers in India and Afghanistan. He also taught at the ELS Language Center in Chicago and studied History of Religions at the University of Chicago before going to law school. Professor Coletta practiced for several years with the law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, specializing in real property and corporate law. He taught at St. Thomas University School of Law from 1985 to 1987. Before coming to Pacific McGeorge Professor Coletta was founder and co-editor of the California Land Use Law and Policy Reporter and has served as the Ninth Circuit Editor for the American Bar Association Land Use Regulation Newsletter. He was a founding member of the Society for Evolutionary Analysis in Law, a member of the Planning and Programming Committee of the Gruter Institute for Law and Behavioral Research, and has been named as a Gruter Institute Research Fellow.He has published articles in a number of legal journals, including those at the University of Pennsylvania, Ohio State, and American University. Professor Coletta is the author of two books: Global issues in Property Law (with Professors Sprankling and M.C. Mirow) and Workbook on Estates and Future Interests. He is currently the Chair-Elect of the Association of American Law Schools’ Section on Property Law.
